MARKETING MOMENTUM

A Blog with Practical Encouragement for Business Owners

Your Next Three Social Media Posts

As a business owner, marketing director at a local church and marketing guide who serves many small businesses, I understand on multiple levels the overwhelming-never-ending need to create content. Not just any content (we have way too much senseless noise in our every day already), but content that’s relevant, connects with our audience and adds value to their lives.

If you find yourself staring at a blank screen wondering what to say next, let me help you get unstuck. Before you write your next post, take a few quiet moments and answer these foundational questions:

  1. Who is your target audience? (e.g., busy parents, stressed caregivers, hungry families)

  2. What are they trying to accomplish today? (e.g., connect with their children, navigate elder care safely, put a meaningful dinner on the table)

  3. What is the specific value you provide? (e.g., What is your core “Pain Reliever” or “Gain Creator”?)

Once you have those answers in mind, here is a simple, three-post framework you can copy, paste, and customize this week.

Post 1

What You Do + The Value

The goal of this post is to clearly state your services, filtered through how they help your audience breathe a little easier.

Image: A photo of you in your element, your workspace, or a client actively using your service.

Caption:

“We built [Business Name] because we know how exhausting it is to struggle with [Common Customer Pain].”

“We offer a simplified framework to support you, including: [List 2-3 Core Services].”

The “So You Can” Bridge:

“We handle the heavy lifting so you can focus on [Desired Gain/What matters most to them].”

Call to Action (CTA): “Which of these areas do you need a fresh set of eyes on this week? Let me know in the comments.”

Post 3

Success Story

This post uses social validation to move people from “this sounds good” to “this actually works.”

Image/Video: A high-quality graphic of a review, a screenshot of a sweet thank-you email, or a photo of a smiling client.

Caption:

“[Insert a specific customer testimonial highlighting the value received].”

The Guide’s Perspective: “When [Client Name] first came to us, they were feeling [Pain Point]. By aligning their needs with [Product or Service], they found [Result/Gain].”

Call to Action (CTA): “Want to see similar momentum in your own life/business? Send us a DM to get started.”

Value Proposition Canvas Exercise

If you want to dive deeper into the unique value you offer your customers so you never run out of content ideas,  spend 15 minutes with the Value Proposition Canvas.

How to use it for your marketing:

  1. Start with the circle on the right side: Fill in your customer’s daily jobs, frustrations (pains), and aspirations (gains).

  2. Move to the square on the left side: List how your business directly relieves those pains and creates those gains.

  3. Find the overlap: Every line that connects the square to the circle is your next social media headline.

When your message is built on a solid foundation, you stop guessing at your marketing and start moving forward with confidence.
